An open-house event to celebrate Quebec's religious heritage

On September 9,10 and 11, take the opportunity to learn more about Quebec's religious heritage. Religious Heritage Days, presented by the Québec Religious Heritage Council and the Quebec Religious and Spiritual Tourism Association, is an event that brings together several religious traditions and takes place throughout the province. The program of the 5th edition of this annual event offers you the chance to visit well-known sacred sites, as well as lesser-known sites or places that are not always accessible to the public. A rich and diverse local tourism experience awaits you, and all activities are free!

In addition, rest assured that the event will be held in compliance with health regulations in effect on September 9,10 and 11.

Religious culture and much more

Visiting one or several of the churches, cathedrals, chapels or other religious sites participating in the Religious Heritage Days event is not only a way to learn more about religious culture, but also a great opportunity to appreciate the many artistic, historical, musical and architectural aspects of these attractions. Participating in the event also means enjoying a peaceful moment in an environment that favours introspection and inner calm.

Close to 300 religious sites to discover in 175 municipalities

Over the weekend, you’ll get to choose among 276 places to visit during the Religious Heritage Days. Whether you’re out in the country, around metropolitan areas or in a remote region, there are plenty of possible itineraries. There are also various types of activities offered: organ and piano concerts, interpretation activities, exhibitions, stained glass windows to admire, English afternoon tea, free or guided tours, as well as activities aimed at young people.
